Bellisa X is SO excited to present our new collection: Reinkarmeration.
Yes, this word is completely made up… what does it mean? Reinkarmeration is a blend of 3 principles that inspired the creation of our new textile print; Karma*, reincarnation** and incarceration***. Reinkarmeration is the conceptual state of rebirth into self-imprisonment; a repetitive cycle where we as humans have trapped ourselves within the dying(?) Earth. This is down to both our physical and mental actions: how we can become victims to our wrong-doings or state of mind. Our print we’ll name ‘Karma’ (for short) represents getting lost in our imprisonment, but if you look at the collection as a whole bigger picture with all the different items it offers a gateway to break out of this cycle.
*/ˈkɑːmə,ˈkəːmə/ noun: karma
1. (in Hinduism and Buddhism) the sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences.

Long story short ( before I accidently write an essay) the collection is about appreciating the positive cycles in life, working together to break away from the negative which we can so easily fall into (hello reinkarmeration) and trying to always look at the bigger picture... Obviously in real life we know it’s definitely not that easy, but with any small steps forward it could be.
** /ˌriːɪnkɑːˈneɪʃ(ə)n noun: reincarnation
the rebirth of a soul in another body.

In terms of practising this concept within the collection, I like to think we’ve approached breaking the cycle of fast fashion in a creative way. One way of doing this is by making a lot of the new collection completely transformable so that 1 garment can be worn in many different ways; from being reversible to having detachable parts and …. I don’t want to say too much more, to keep the surprise for the launch! We’d hope our concept of ‘transformable clothing’ excites you to creatively wear your Bellisa X garments over and over again, so that you can never get bored of them.
Furthermore as much as Bellisa X was born in the festival/rave niche ,which we will always cater for, this collection offers a broader range of styles. While I personally don’t like to conform to fashion boundaries implicated in society of what’s suitable for casual/formal day/night occasional, seasonal and gender specific attire, I can appreciate that this may be something not everyone is comfortable with. We’ve added more ‘casual’ clothing lines to this collection so that you don’t feel you can only wear our clothes at festival or event. To make funky clothing that is more versatile and for us to encourage breaking down society-fashion boundaries is our way of saying no to fast-fashion: building a wardrobe where you could wear anything whenever, to wherever and still stand out in a style that represents you.
Lastly, with the recent launch of our new ‘Create Your Own’ platform where you can visually design your own custom creation online; we feel that if you design something completely unique and to your tastes, the garment becomes extra special and personal to you so that you want to keep it for as long as possible, if not forever.
