I’ve been experimenting with a totally original concept; it explores the multi-dimensional depth of the creative mind, blending curiosity on the perspective palette.

Apon rebranding in 2023, I tried to take myself away from the face of the ‘Bellisa X’ to preserve brand longevity and mark professional boundaries. I thought by minimising my personality, we could build a solid foundation for scalability within the fashion industry: it didn’t work. 
 
It didn’t work because Bellisa X was so heavily built apon the creations of B and you; crafted from my emotionally charged chaotic energy, ever-changing sources of inspiration and life experiences. You never know quite what’s coming next, and that’s because I don’t too. 
 
I’ve grown to appreciate the unique paradox in the Bellisa X community: you trust the unpredictability of my imagination to deliver. The inconsistency of ideas has become consistent, because the output is always of reliable high-quality and service. With you, we are an abstract masterpiece of highly functioning self-expressive creative energy..

Under the pressure to build a sustained business for the future coupled with personal life challenges, I erased my ability to connect inspiration with creative output. When we start focusing on what we think we ‘should do’ rather than what we want to do, we loose sight of our purposeful direction. This is the constant balance seeking juggle that many professional creatives face.
 
So, you ask: What’s next? 

Less brand, more freedom. So much on social media is focused on the output, but really it’s the how’s and why’s of the creations that actually inspire us to make our own movements. Choosing quality of process, over quantity of the outcome.
 
Who remembers when every collection Bellisa X released was entwinned with a themed story or personified concepts? From the original ‘Cocktail of Jackets,’ inspired by your fave alcoholic drinks, to the ‘Tracksuits of Deity’ named after Greek Goddess or most recently the ‘Dolls’ collection styled apon ravers in our founding scene.  That was really fun.
 
We’re bringing back storytelling with a twist: An open diary with B, exploring the creative mind. You can call it a creative influencer platform if you wish: making and doing random things and selling some clothes. 
 
I’ve learnt that creativity works best when it’s allowed to free-form and do it’s thang. All minds operate uniquely, and it’s about understanding our own to run in sync with it so we can pull out our most original ideas.

For me, every clothing design has started with a thought questioning life. That idea gets restlessly churned around in my brain until its written down, conceptualised into a story and moulded into a design. How does yours work? 
 
While artists naturally choose their desired medium to express this; I find inspiration doesn’t have limits, so neither should expression... 
 

Behind the scenes I’ve been working on something new. Combining concepts through a mixed media of self-expressive story-telling: word, art, film, music and of course sewing clothes. Because sometimes, it can get too claustrophobic being confined to one discipline. 
 
We’re about to paint a new era. Oh it’s totally obscene, and I’ve never seen it done quite like this before. 
 
I, B, invite you to explore the capabilities of our minds and inspire each other with our journeys. Together we will turn our deepest fears into our most fulfilling joys through the power of authentic self- expression. 
 
Does it feel like I’m talking in riddles? All will be revealed over this coming month, as we add to the Bellisa X story. And, alike any new project, we’re starting with a blank canvas in ‘Solitude’ because a master-piece alwayscomes from within.
