Let's pause and rewind. It's February 11th 2024: 11am @ Canoe Studios, Chelsea, Manhattan. We're showcasing our first ever catwalk show at New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 24 with Flying Solo NYC.
Suspended 14 floors above the ground, in an industrial vibe warehouse venue lined with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Hudson River. The room is buzzing with chaotic-but-organised creative energy. You can feel the excited anticipation.
And me? I'm totally infatuated in the moment. Chatting away with all our incredible models and doing final checks to each of the 8 looks. Very happily lost in the surreal showbiz bubble, that it was only until the call "BELLISA YOU'RE UP NEXT" grounded the reality, sh*t we're actually at fashion week. This is very real and our show is happening now.
