How To Sew Ribbing

How To Sew Ribbing

The quickest and easiest way to finish tracksuit bottoms is to add a cuff made from ribbing fabric. It's super practical keeping your trackies from getting muddy and comfy to wear. You may be thinking that ribbing looks really hard to work with- it's not! And I promise you that once you've mastered the ankle cuffs, you can apply the same technique ( with different patterns) to lots of other items too.

For this tuturial you'll need:

  • Tracksuit bottoms made up to ankle finishing
  • 0.25m of ribbing fabric
  • Cuff pattern ( see below)
  • Rotary blade/ weights/ clips
  • Overlocker/ Zig Zag stitch
